Education and Seminars 




If you are a pre-approved Grower, please refer to the Nutrient Management Guidance.  It contains many helpful resources and links for pre-approved Growers who are designing a nutrient management plan, as required by the Regulations. The Guidance also contains a link to the Maryland Department of Agriculture-University of Maryland Extension’s publication, “Writing Nutrient Management Plans for Nursery and Greenhouse Operations”. 

Also, the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture, part of the University of Maryland, will be holding a Farmer Training and Certification (FTC) training for anyone interested in growing medical cannabis in a nursery, greenhouse or controlled environment on February 15, 2017 at the University of Maryland College Park (Greenhouse Conference Room) and the follow-up certification examination day at the Maryland Department of Agriculture on March 29, 2017.  For more information on registering, click here.  

United Patients Group, a medical cannabis information and educational site.

The Cannabis Training Institute (CTI), is an online training & certification resource for cannabis businesses and their employees, as well as education for medical professionals.  The CTI provides a comprehensive cannabis education curriculum and is the official online training provider for the Americans for Safe Access Patient-Focused Certification program.  The CTI’s easy-to-use educational resources are utilized by respected dispensaries, cultivation facilities, and cannabis testing laboratories across the United States.
