**NEW**  PHYSICIANS REGISTRY 

The certifying physician registration form as required by COMAR 10.62.03 is now available. If you are interested in becoming a certifying physician, please click here to complete the on-line registration form. You will need your Maryland physician's  license number and controlled dangerous substance (CDS) number to complete the form. 

After successfully registering, you will receive an instant e mail message indicating that your registration has been processed. Please note that this message will make reference to the patient registry and the written certification form. At this time, these documents are not available on the website, but will be forthcoming in early 2016. 

 

The Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC)

The SCC is an educational and scientific society of qualified physicians and other professionals dedicated to the promotion, protection, and support of cannabis for medical use. The SCC provides education about medical cannabis to clinicians both on-line and in person and CME credits are available

University of Washington Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute

The University of Washington Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute, founded by the Washington State Office of the Attorney General, has developed several training modules for health professionals, including physicians, nurses, osteopaths, pharmacists, and physician assistants. This training, “Medicinal Cannabis and Chronic Pain:  Science-Based Education in Times of Legalization", presents current information on the use of medical cannabis for the treatment of various conditions with a focus on chronic pain.  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits are available.
